INDUSTRIALIST CHARGES ENTERPRENUERS ON THE NEED TO NEVER GIVEUP

The Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, FAE Limited, Princess Layo Bakare-Okeowo has urged entrepreneurs in Nigeria to put up a fighting spirit in the face of challenges rather than opt to “Check out”.
Her emphasis on “Check Out” revealed her counsel to budding entrepreneurs never to give up on their dreams while acknowledging the tough business environment operational in the Nigeria.
The industrialist with over 40years experience in manufacturing made this known at the occasion of her conferment as Fellow of the Institute of Entrepreneurs, Nigeria in recognition of her excellent contribution to the society through her entrepreneurial prowess.
According to Princess Okeowo, the honor of conferring her with fellowship by the Institute serves as a major encouragement to her in all the years of service and continuous growth in her entrepreneurial sojourn. She said the secret to her growth in business is her ability to leverage on relationships and handling stumbling blocks as growth ladders.
She equally seized the opportunity to call on the Nigerian Government to see job creation as a means of ending the prevailing social vices in the country. Okeowo stressed that if the Government continue to encourage entrepreneurs with the needed infrastructure and enabling business environment, more jobs will be created and many who are unemployed will be gainfully engaged.
Also, she encouraged youths not to be lazy but diligent in all they find their hands to do as that would be a sole determinant of how far they go in life. “I believe you can make it in Nigeria, it all depends on how you handle yourself” She said.
The Executive Secretary of the Institute of Entrepreneurs, Nigeria, Dr Rotimi Oladele said the decision to honour Princess Okeowo was not farfetched owing to her dedication in service which has made her exemplary in her entrepreneurial endeavor.
Princess Layo-Bakare Okeowo is the brain behind Nigeria’s leading enveloping manufacturing firm with a distribution network that cuts across Africa.
She also recently opened a state of the art, shopping Mall, D’MART- a one stop shop for daily essential needs, located at Ogba GRA, Lagos.
